Nunkuwarrin Yunti of South Australia Inc offers a transport service to clients who need assistance with travel within the metropolitan area of Adelaide.

The Transport Service is available for:

Attendance at Nunkuwarrin Yunti, Wakefield Street clinic appointments
Attendance at Nunkuwarrin Yunti, Brady Street clinic appointments
Travel to first outpatient/specialist appointment resulting from referral by Nunkuwarrin Yunti doctors.

The Transport Service is not available for:

  • Personal use (eg banks, shopping or school attendances, etc)
  • Attendance at dental, dialysis or optometrist appointments
  • Children under 16 not accompanied by parent/guardian.

Parents are responsible for the behaviour of their children while using the service. Eating, drinking, physical or verbal abuse are not permitted in the vehicles, and transport assistance will be refused if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, are abusive or do not wear a seat belt.

Who can use the Service?

The Transport Service is available to clients of Nunkuwarrin Yunti of South Australia Inc including:

  • Elderly
  • Disabled
  • Pregnant Women
  • Parents and Children

Bookings

Bookings must be made 24 hours in advance for specialist, X-ray, Nunkuwarrin Yunti and hospital appointments. For example, if your appointment is at 10.00am on Wednesday, you need to make the booking by 10.00am on the Tuesday.

In case of an emergency we will do our best to provide transport but this is not always possible.

The driver will pick up and return passengers from the address given at the time of booking.

Bookings for the Transport Service can be made in person at Nunkuwarrin Yunti’s Wakefield Street Clinic Reception Desk or by telephoning (08) 8223 5217

Wakefield Street Clinic
Monday – Friday
9.00am to 5.00pm

Brady Street Clinic
Tuesday – Friday
9.00am – 5.00pm
