“No Pulgi” means "no home" in Ngarrindjeri language. No Pulgi is an outreach primary health care service which aims to improve health outcomes of all homeless people in the Adelaide central business district.
No Pulgi comprises a multi-disciplinary primary health care team that strives to deliver a high quality health service to homeless people in places where they gather.
No Pulgi Team Aboriginal Health Worker Aboriginal Intravenous Drug Use Harm Minimisation Worker Child and Maternal Support Worker General Practitioners Primary Health Care Nurse The Partnership The team is administratively based at Nunkuwarrin Yunti, but is the result of a partnership between Nunkuwarrin Yunti, Royal District Nursing Service, Aboriginal Sobriety Group, The Central Western Adelaide Aboriginal Primary Health Care Access Program (APHCAP), Central Northern Adelaide Health Services (Department of Health) and Drug and Alcohol Services of South Australia. The No Pulgi service views health in a holistic way that encompasses the social determinates of health such as adequate housing, adequate nutrition and social inclusion.
