Stronger fathers is a program for Aboriginal men which explores the role of fathering though talking circles and concentrates on passing knowledge to Aboriginal fathers that will assist them with raising their children in a positive way. Aim of the program - To strengthen the role of Aboriginal fathers in nurturing and being actively involved in parenting and rearing of children. - To promote opportunities for Aboriginal males to learn more about and participate positively in the physical, emotional, social and cultural development of their children. - To promote the importance of positive role models for Aboriginal children within the community and family. Program Details The program can be flexible in its delivery and can be run from Nunkuwarrin Yunti or out of any location as negotiated, it has two phase program run an antenatal and early childhood phase, sessions run for two hours Session topics include: - Roles of fathers - Making kids strong - What males children act that way - Connecting and communicating with children - Handling emotions - Healthy relationships For further information or to book workshops please contact Jak Wilson on 8406 1600
